Dike tips, Oslo, Norway

This is a pavement shore outcrop from Hovedøya in the harbor of Oslo, Norway. Subvertical Ordovician strata (limestones and marls) have been intruded by some Permian mafic dikes. The features you should note in this image include: 1) traces of the bedding, 2) the trace of the dike bodies, 3) the trace of a joint set, and 40 any inferable fault slip surfaces.

Questions that may arise include the following. What was the relative history of injection here? What is the significance, if any of the orientation of the bedding, dikes and joints relative to each other?
